Dalbit partners Academy
The Academy is pleased to announce a new partnership with Dalbit International, a petroleum company who work within the region.
Dalbit Petroleum has kindly donated $100,000 towards running the school and part of the money was put straight into action with a new internet connection being provided for the schoolís recently opened computer suite, speeding up the service for the pupils.
Derek Chappell, one of the joint founders of Malek Academy said, "We really do appreciate Dalbits contribution to the school.Ē
"It is very important that we attract businesses locally to help support the school. This money will make a real difference to the children at the school. Every penny people donate to us goes directly towards their education."
Margaret Mbaka, Dalbit Group Corporate Affairs Director who was shown around the Academy by two children from the school added, "Dalbit Petroleum is happy to play a noble role in helping to create a strong foundation for the Republic of South Sudan through investing in the education sector.Ē
"Through this partnership, we are confident that these students will unlock the potential of this great country and lead it to greater heights.Ē
"We shall continue to build capacity in the region by investing in the health and education sectors as a way of empowering our people."
The visit to the school by the representatives of Dalbit was a great success and it was agreed we would work together in a future partnership that would look at developing a new section of the curriculum which would help the young people learn about the petroleum industry, currently the largest part of South Sudan's economy.
Through this partnership, we are confident that these students will unlock the potential of this great country and lead it to greater heights.
